we recently had Saturn begin retrograde in Aries, and something i think needs to be noted about this event is how much of an identity shift creators will undergo. Aries is the sign of your identity, and with everything we've been talking about with the influencer economy being impacted due to AI presence, it's safe to say many creators are going to begin to wonder if who they portray online is actually theirs or if it's just a facade to keep up with because of a main thing being the main driving force whether that's money, power, status, etc.

i say this because Pluto in Capricorn was when we saw social media transforming into a place for business and money-making ventures. this created the influencer economy in which creating income was now in the hands of the person instead of the corporation. any person with their talents can create an income stream thanks to the power social media gives that corporations saw as a marketing opportunity. along with this came the identity influencers began to have, where the audience of the influencer knew who they were based on what they did since social media lets you share what you want people to see.

but as time went on, more and more influencers began to create worlds that their audience desired to be in, but were wildly unrealistic to obtain and maintain for the everyday working person. on top of that, people are starting to wake up to the facade very quickly. i believe this has to do with social media being a place for marketing, business, brand deals (you get the idea), and to keep income pouring in, influencers learned about how to create AND market at the same time. this, however, is beginning to run dry, as audiences are seeing how out of touch many of those whom they follow truly are due to their lifestyles.

it's not their fault, and this is not applicable for every influencer since many haven't switched up from day 1, and their audiences see this. many saw the income opportunity birthed from creating income and how it changed them and their families' lives. but what many saw was the result of being able to do all of this — a shift in their identity, their ego on display, and the result of what fame and money have done to themselves internally. and this retrograde will be affecting them the most.

now, for many others, this retrograde could pull on them to reassess what truly matters to them in terms of possessions, passions, and ways of living. but for others, this involves a death of the self they used to know, the one who knows how to smile in front of the camera, say the right things, and has people in their ears who may not have their best interests in mind.

with Pluto being in Aquarius right now and it being the sign of many things, including tech advances and innovation, we're seeing the Aquarian technology of AI run rampant through the engine of Capricorn's effect on social media. AI brand campaigns are now how many companies will be showcasing their products to the world, and AI influencers will form cult-like followings and create their own worlds to be a part of.

it's rightfully leaving everyone puzzled not only with the rate of how fast things are going, but how the life many influencers created for years can now easily be duplicated with a good prompt and high-quality AI model. saturn's aries retrograde will force those who create content to think about who they really are, if this life they've made actually IS them, and where to go next after this realization. because the success of their content right now depends on this evaluation.

the 2027 human design mutation is the human design framework for this exact shift happening with Saturn's retrograde.

we'll enter the cross of the sleeping phoenix individualistic energy in February of 2027. this means for influencers, the collective will no longer rely on the reliance of what's trending from these corporate-backed platforms, and instead true, raw, deeply personal feelings will be at the forefront of decision-making. before we go there, Saturn's going to strip back the shells many influencers made for themselves, leaving them exposed and providing them the opportunity to either be left in the cold or rebuild into a sustainable version of themselves in the long term.

for those who choose the latter, this may result in many leaving social media altogether, keeping up with the lifestyle they created for themselves, and even potentially staying stuck in a content creation vortex, where what they create won't appease their audience like it used to since their audience may see it's not who they are. all and all, their ego may take the lead in what to do and their actions will be a result of this.

for those who choose the former, this version of themselves would be formed from a two-step process:

the first is to be completely taken apart. this can look like brands they used to champion may not align with them anymore, content they used to make doesn't feel interesting to them, and trends feel like they're just going to compete with others on being seen. they'll begin questioning if the people around them truly want them for who they are or the version of themselves they pretend to be. they may outgrow certain experiences they like even though their audience loves it. they may wonder if their audience is who they want following them.

second is them rebuilding where all that was torn away is cleared, and there's a chance to start over new. this is where they're embodying from within, understanding why they do what they do, what they're truly doing this for, if they even want to do this at all, and if they did it because someone told them to. this alignment will lead to a greater sense of authenticity that they need, and it undoubtedly will elevate them.

if there's any kind of advice to give influencers on an energetic level right now, it's to know that surface level is easily replicatable now. this is the time to let go of the person who needed to be put together and profitable in the eyes of these brands and their audiences. your true authentic self will be what attracts opportunities to you.

alongside the solar eclipse happening in Leo and so many other astrological events happening this month alone, August is dissolving whatever influence model relied on, leaving space for something deeper. the truth is neither Aries nor Leo gives a f*ck about being polished and put together. both fire signs care about your authentic self — your real one, not the one you've been tuning for an audience that measures you in engagement metrics. the eclipse, especially, is pulling the rug out from under the performance layer and forcing everything real to the surface.

the metrics may look worse than they ever were. your reach may drop out of nowhere. your strategies that worked before may not work now. you may find that it's exhausting to keep trying to operate as the creator you've always been. you may feel like changing things up in your content and are alot more honest with your audience about that. all of that's ok.

this is your sign to stop producing for a machine and start speaking from the body. the people who need you already know what you sound like when you're real. they're just waiting for you to show up.

and the body knows how to do that. it always has.
